Cette vidéo s'adresse aux débutants et présente les principales règles du Nunchaku de combat semi-contact en compétition

Règlement Nunchaku Technique 

Le Nunchaku technique et
traditionnel est composé de 2 épreuves présentées devant 3 juges.

  • Première épreuve (Nunchaku Traditionnel) : exécution d’un Kata au choix.
  • Seconde épreuve (Nunchaku
    Technique)
     : Réalisation de l’une des séries de 29 maniements tirée au
    sort.

Déroulement des
épreuves :

1/ Tirage au sort de l’ordre de
passage des candidats

2/ Le candidat se présente devant
les juges et les salut.

3/ Le candidat présente son
nunchaku aux juges, (ceux ci valident ou non le nunchaku du candidat, s’il est
refusé, il doit en trouver un autre).

4/ Après la validation du
nunchaku, le candidat tire au sort la seconde épreuve puis la fait connaître
aux juges a voix haute.

5/ Après validation de la seconde
épreuve le candidat se place sur la tatami et attend le « TOP » des
juges pour commencer son kata et il enchaînera les 29 maniements au 2ème
« TOP » des juges après s’être repositionné au centre du tatami.

Matériel :

Kimono FINCA, coquille
obligatoire, Nunchaku bois octogonal (35cm) homologué FINCA.

Le Nunchaku devra être présenté
et validé par les juges (3 juges au minimum)

Notation :

Les 3 juges notent
individuellement chaque candidat. La note finale obtenue sera la moyenne des
notes. Les juges devront être ceinture rouge au minimum afin d’apprécier la
qualité de la prestation des candidats.

Critères supplémentaires
sur la notation :

Entre les deux passages, le
candidat doit rester martial et concentré.

Jusqu’à 2 points pourront être
déduits de la note finale (après que la moyenne soit réalisée entre les 2 notes
obtenue dans les 2 épreuves) si seulement et au minimum 2 juges le demande.

A contrario, si le candidat
exécute l’ensemble de l’épreuve (Kata et maniements) avec un Nunchaku à clou, 2
points seront rajoutés à la note finale.

fonction de la prise de risques pendant l’exécution des maniements.

B – Règlement
du nunchaku jitsu

B1 –
Principes fondamentaux

  • on a le droit de frapper avec l’arme
    • de donner des coups de pieds contrôlés (le KO est interdit)
    • de faire des projections et des prises de soumissions (étranglement, clés),
      si on perd son arme pendant une tentative de projection, non seulement celle-ci
      n’est pas comptabilisée mais il y a une pénalité pour perte de celle-ci.
    • Les frappes doivent être armées pour être comptabilisées
    • Avec le nunchaku : il ne faut pas faire de double frappe en frappe
      courte ou en frappe longue.
    • Les coups de pieds sont autorisés à tous niveaux mais doivent être
      contrôlés (ils sont interdits sur les genoux et dans le dos).
    • On peut projeter l’adversaire (2points) et travailler au sol, si on
      effectue une clé (de jambe, cheville, poignet ou bras) ou un étranglement on
      gagne le combat. Si sur une projection ou une tentative de soumission, l’adversaire
      perd son nunchaku l’arbitre annonce une perte de 3 points pour celui qui
      projette, mais le combat continue, quand l’adversaire est au sol, on peut
      continuer de frapper avec l’arme (maximum 3 frappes, attention au respect de la
      distance). Si les deux sont au sol on peut faire une frappe courte, mais bien
      sur les frappes longues ne peuvent être comptabilisées car aucune distance.
    • Si la situation n’évolue pas lorsque l’on est en corps à corps (sol ou
      debout) l’arbitre dit «  Break » et les deux combattants se mettent à
      distance de 2 mètre.

B2 – Comptabilisation des points

B3 – Actions interdites

  • frappes trop puissantes
    • guillotine (avec le pied ou le nunchaku)
    • étranglement avec la ficelle du nunchaku
    • sortie de l’aire de combat, poussée
    • coup de poing, coudes, genoux, tibia (on doit frapper avec le pied)
    • frappe au cou ou aux parties
    • frappe après le stop
    • non combativité : attendre les frappes de l’adversaire sans faire de
      maniement, sans attaquer, refuser le combat
    • comportement incorrect d’un combattant : gestes déplacés, agressivité
      incontrôlée, il est interdit de parler pendant le combat.
  •                interdiction d’attraper le
    nunchaku de l’adversaire avec la main

B3.1 –

Interdiction d’entamer un étranglement ou
un e clé de bras et de se jeter au sol sans contrôle.

B4 – Fin du combat  

  • A la fin du combat le combattant qui a le plus de points gagne, en cas
    d’égalité il y a une prolongation, le premier qui marque gagne.

     

    • En cas d’abandon d’un combattant sur blessure ou sur une prise douloureuse
      c’est l’autre compétiteur qui gagne. (sauf si la blessure intervient suite à
      une frappe interdite et volontaire).

B5 –  

On peut se référer au règlement du
nunchaku semi contact pour la partie nunchaku et au règlement du combat jiu
jitsu pour la partie projection et travail au sol.

IMPACT FIGHTING - ARBITRATION RULES

1 – THE RULES 

The fight takes place in 5 points with a limited time (1min30 to 2 min). The fight stops as soon as a stike is successful, the referees count it and resume the match (without stopping the time). A successful stike is a clean but controlled stike. To score points, the fighter will be able to make direct, long or short touches on the whole body. He can snatch the nunchaku from his opponent. If the stikes are too close together : the referee will announce « simultaneous » and he will let the fight unfold, the fighters will have to chain another stike more clear having recovered his nunchaku between each stike. The fight is won when one of the two fighters has reached 5 points, there will be no points apart. If the time is over before reaching the 5 points, the referees will announce the score.

 2 – THE TIME

1 min30 for minis-cadets (-14 years), juniors (14/18 years), women and masters (+ 40 years).

 2 min for seniors (18/40 years).

He is never stopped, except on injury or exceptional request from the referee.

 

 3 – THE POINTS

1 point all the body (from the feet to the shoulders).

1 head point.

1 tearing point, nunchaku loss, penalty.

 

 4 – THE PENALTIES

Only the central referee will judge the seriousness of the penalty, he can only « warn », « sanction » (with 1 point for the opponent) or « exclude ».

  The penalties :

 – Strikes too strong or dangerous (strike short stung, strikes in the neck or the back).

 – Direct contact with his opponent (load, knee or elbow forward).

– Talk to his opponent or the referee without being authorized to do so.

 – Double strike s: if between two stikes the recovery of the nunchaku is not good.

 – Do not handle your nunchaku for 5 seconds.

 – Outings.

 

 

 

 

 

 5 – THE REFEREES

 A central referee :

 He checks, before starting, that the fight can be carried out safely :

 Checking shells, helmets and foam nunchakus, gloves are optional but advised.

During the fight he monitors: the faults and the marked points.

 He will score the points with his fingers.

 

 The assistants :

One to three assistants.

They will stretch out their arms in the camp of the marked point.

They can report a penalty.

 

 The chronometer :

He starts the stopwatch at the start of the fight, announces the last  « 30 seconds » and the end of the fight.

 He may stop the stopwatch, during a fight, if the central referee requests it.

 

Artistique/Freestyle - Arbitration rules

1 – IN THE CONTEXT OF THE EVENT

The Free Style Show is an individual exercise aimed at highlighting the visual, technical and artistic aspects of Nunchaku handling. A musical accompaniment chosen by the candidate is strongly desired. The performance is rated by a jury of about five people from different clubs or countries. The best and the lowest score are eliminated. All the candidates pass immediately after the other, the order of passage having been previously drawn by lot, in the final the candidates pass in order from the lowest score to the best.

 

2 – PRELIMINARY TO THE RATING CRITERIA 

The Free Style Show is an artistic exercise, unlike a kata or any other martial exercise illustrating an imaginary fight. The search for realism and combat effectiveness is not a priority. However it is good that the candidate retains a minimum of martial spirit in certain parts of his performance. We will distinguish the phases of pure manipulation to « impress » the entourage, other phases involving more precisely impacts on the opponent. The candidate must ensure that these two aspects are present

 

3 – RATING CRITERIA

One score out of 20 divided into three large and distinct parts is allocated to each performance.

A – Technical and martial score : 9 points  – Sophistication, difficulty of techniques, changes of catch, original movements, launch of the Nunchakus (s), manipulations with two Nunchakus, etc.

 – Speed of execution : evaluation of the maximum speed, reached during the performance.

– Mastery : control of trajectories, clarity of recovery.

– Martial aspect : power, precision, martial performance, realism of the combat phases.

 B – Artistic score : 7 points 


– Presentation :. No outfit is compulsory, it is however desirable that it is martial which implies the absence of any jewelry, watches, etc.

 – Choreography : dynamic evolution in space, displacement on a maximum surface.

 – Music : choice of music and variation of rhythms. Synchronization between the musical time and the rhythm of the Nunchaku and the body.

 – Body Expression : harmony between body and Nunchaku, flexibility, balance, style, etc.

 

 

C – Large technical difficulties :

4 points  These are called manipulations very difficult to achieve, which few candidates can do. As soon as at least three practitioners make the same technique known as « very difficult », it will be considered as average difficulty.

 

N.B . : all the techniques performed with the Nunchaku in action are considered to be great difficulties. Example: A back-wards salto performed before taking his Nunchaku is not considered to be a big difficulty (it will be taken into account possibly in the artistic aspect). On the other hand, if the candidate throws the Nunchaku, performs a backwards salto and then catches up with his nunchaku, this is considered a big difficulty because the Nunchaku is in motion.

 

4 – PENALTIES

– Loss of the Nunchaku : a half penalty point will be awarded to any loss of Nunchaku.

– Penalty Chrono : time not respected = one half point for every five seconds (maximum three points).

– Note : if you break a Nunchaku during a Free Style, you can restart the Free Style. However, in case of penalties before breakage, these will be maintained for the new service

SEMI-CONTACT FIGHTING - ARBITRATION RULES

1 – THE FIGHTERS 

A – Condition of participation 

 1°) Nunchaku’s regional, federal and international competitions are open to all nunchaku styles, schools and methods (Open competitions).

 2°) All competitors must carry the F.I.N.C.A. passport, the insurance license (federal or international license), as well as a medical certificate of the current season.

 3°) A parental authorization to participate in competitions is required for minors.

 4°) Clubs must have paid their annual membership fee. A fighter member of a club not in good standing with F.I.N.C.A may be prohibited from participating in competitions.

 5°) Categories : Masters (more 40 years old) – seniors (19 years old and more) – juniors (16, 17 and 18 years old) – « cadets » (13, 14 and 15 years old) – minors (10, 11 and 12 years old).

 The competitor category is defined by its anniversary date for the current season.

 B – Obligations 

 1°) Dress and equipment : 

Competitors must be barefoot, have short nails cut and do not wear metallic or other objects that could hurt their opponent. They must be provided with a moss nunchaku and a black and red kimono.

 2°) Compulsory protections : 

Shell, helmet and visor homologated, breast protection for fighters. The use of bandages for injuries must be approved by the arbitral body on the advice of the doctor, rescuers or referee.

 3°) Optional equipment :

If the competition area is formed by hard ground, the shooters are entitled to wear light kung-fu or taek won do shoes.

Elbow pads, knee pads and hand pads are allowed under all circumstances. All other protections (shin guards, reinforced kimonos …) are totally forbidden.

C – The coaches 

1°) Each competitor can have only one coach. This one will wear a martial or sober outfit (sweat club accepted).

 

2°) During the whole fight, the coach will remain in his place without intervening; He shall give his advice only on two occasions, and shall not, by word or deed, interrupt or arrest the proper conduct of the bout (tolerance of the referee).

 In the event that the coach contravenes this clause, his competitor or competitors may be penalized.

 3°) For all claims, he is the only one entitled to formulate it, in writing, at the end of the fight and to hand it to the referee of the competition (a fighter without a coach cannot make a claim).

 2 – THE ARBITRAL BODY

 A – The central arbitrator

 1°) He has the power to : – direct the competition (including the announcement of the start and end of the fighting) – give penalties, warnings in case of irregularities. – obtain the supervisor’s opinion.

 2°) The authority of the central referee is not confined solely to the competition area; It extends to the whole immediate perimeter.

 3°) The central referee will check the conduct of the combatants, the condition of the equipment, the wearing of the mandatory protections.

 4°) He will ensure before each beginning of the presence of the supervisors, the riders (assisted by their markers) and the timekeeper so that there is no problem during the fight.

 B – Supervisors

1°) They are two in number, and place themselves at the call of the combatants outside the combat area, one to the left, the other to the right of the central arbiter.

 2°) Each supervisor assists the central arbitrator. He controls the course of the fight, can stop it on any irregularities: its « STOP » to be confirmed by the central referee. At least one supervisor is required at the beginning of a fight. They have the right to move around the edges of the combat area and must be located opposite each other.

 C – Judges 

 1°) They take care of the same fighter during a whole round and report orally to their markers all the points (including the technical points).

 2°) In case of errors or warnings given by the central referee, the judge orally confirms to his scorer the total points acquired.

 3°) They cannot be from the same family or club as one of the two participants.

 D – The markers

 

1°) They are responsible for recording all points, technical points, etc. Than their ruler reports.

 2°) They must, at each end of recovery, make the total.

 E – The timekeeper

 1°) He starts his stopwatch when the central referee gives the signal « ALLEZ » and stops each time he says « STOP ».

 2°) The normal duration of a take-over shall normally be two minutes. Thirty seconds before the end of a recovery, the timekeeper announces « THIRTY SECONDS » to the referee, who will broadcast the announcement to the fighters.

 3°) Between two occasions, the referee announces forty-five seconds of rest. At the end of the race, the timekeeper announces « TIME » for the resumption of the fight.

 

3 – THE REGULATION OF THE « SEMI-CONTACT » FIGHTING

 A – The basic principles of « semi-contact »

 1°) Types of strikes.

They can be « dropped », that is to say with a mobile branch not held, or « short » (with one or two hands). The typing power is controlled.

 Each point is counted at impact and not at recovery. On the other hand, in order to chain two strikes, the mobile branch must be recovered in one hand after the first strike. In the opposite case, there is a « double strike », this constitutes a fault penalized by the central referee.

 B – Recognition of points

 1°) Criteria for evaluating the impact

 All strikes to the head are worth two points and one point for the rest of the body, provided that the impact is clear and that it respects the notion of « striking distance ».  If a long shot only brushes against the opponent or if it is made within one meter of the opponent, it is not counted. The long strikes must be the arm extended, parallel to the ground and with the end of the striking branch. The grip being at the opposite end to the chord of the other branch. If one of these factors is not respected, the strike is null.

 The strikes called « short » (with one or both hands) must be carried out at the end of the branch and armed (reality of the strike).

 2°) Points of improvement (or technical points)

The following actions add up 2 points to the one marked when typing :

 

– A long strike, in pivot jumped (strikes in the jump) – A long strike, lowered with a knee on the ground – A long strike in a roll (strikes in the roll) – No bonus with short stroke

 WARNING 

We cannot chain more than two bonus techniques as a result. A strike must be repeated. 

 Example: 2 linked techniques, one long strike and one technique = Accepted but 3 techniques afterwards will be refused.

 3°) Faults 

 They penalize unintentional technical errors as well as acts contrary to the good spirit of combat :

 – Two short strokes chained voluntarily – Voluntary release – Pushed or voluntary physical contact

 – Blows directly with the fists, foot, knees … – Strikes on prohibited areas (neck, back and sides) – Strike after the stop – Strike in the face – Blocking with part of the body: the two branches of the nunchaku must be held to make a blocking. – Anti-combat : non-combativity (action to break the distance without attacking, to refuse the fight or to wait systematically that the adversary attacks). – Incorrect behavior of the fighter gestures moved, sign of discontent, uncontrolled aggressiveness). – Incorrect behavior of the coach, inconvenient intervention for the smooth running of the fight. – Strike too powerful : a powerful strike but which remains controlled will be sanctioned by a fault (thus 3 points). – A strike too powerful without control will be penalized by a warning.

 4°) Scale of penalties

 For the same irregularity :

 – First warning : 3 penalty points – Second warning : 3 penalty points – Third warning : 5 penalty points – Fourth Warning : disqualification

 5°) Cases of disqualification

At any time for :

 – Unacceptable and intolerable behavior of the fighter or coach – Failure to respect the referee’s signs, remarks and commands – Possibly for a voluntary forbidden strike, strikes at a forbidden place, strikes with a part of the body, significant injury on double voluntary strike and more generally for striking « clairvoyant » too violent without any control.

 6°) Injury cases

The referee may at any time request the intervention of the doctor who will authorize or not the continuation of the fight in case of injuries. If two competitors are injured at the same time or suffer a pre-injury and are declared by the physician unable to continue the fight in progress, the victory is given to the fighter with the most points at that time.  If there is a tie, a decision will be taken by the arbitral body.

 

 

 

 

An injured fighter who is declared unfit by the physician, will not be able to fight in this competition without the written declaration of the doctor.

 If an injury is not caused by a voluntary forbidden strike, the injured person loses by « abandonment on injury ». Otherwise his opponent may be disqualified.

 Any combatant who has suffered a trauma causing a partial or total loss of consciousness will be immediately removed from the competition.

 

4- THE CONDUCT OF THE FIGHTS

A- Beginning of the fight

At the call of their names, the fighters stand face to face, one with a red belt, the other with a white belt, the nunchaku in the belt, the helmet under the left arm.

 The referee announces « Position » : the fighters are feet joined. He announces « Saluez » : the fighters greet each other and salute the central referee. It announces « Prêt »: the fighters put on the helmet, take the nunchaku in hands with both arms outstretched against their opponent.

 It announces « Allez » by advancing the right leg and lowering both arms : the fighters engage the combat.

 Interruption of combat by the signal « BREAK ».

 For the clarity of the fight, the referee must ensure that a minimum distance of combat is maintained. Physical contact between combatants being prohibited, hand-to-hand combat is excluded. As soon as they find themselves at a short distance and do not quickly recover their distance, the referee announces « BREAK », separates them and announces « ALLEZ » so that the fight resumes. If a fighter systematically breaks the distance in order to protect himself and to cause the signal « BREAK », the referee can inflict a warning to him for noncombativity.

 B – End of a fight

 After the gong of the timekeeper :

 – The central referee announces « STOP » : the fighters stop their action and put themselves in « READY » position. – It announces « POSITION ». – He announces « SALUEZ » : the fighters greet and salute the central arbiter.

 

 

 

C – Between two fights 

 During rest, each fighter will sit in front of his coach. In no case shall he leave the enclosure of the combat area.

 At the announcement of the resumption of the combat, each fighter returns to his place in position « ready » (“prêt”), the helmet already on the head.

 D – End of the fight 

 After picking up the judges’ sheets and hearing the final result, the central referee announces « POSITION » : the fighters face each other. He first indicates the fighter (white or red belt) losing then the winner by announcing their respective points total. The fighters greet each other again.

 E – One more fight 

 The fighting usually takes place two times each two minutes. If there is a tie at the end of the bout, there will be an additional recovery.

 The third round will take place in 1 minute with a stop of the fight after 30 seconds by a « STOP » from the central referee, in order to allow the two judges to change fighter.

 If after this additional recovery there is still a tie, a fourth recovery will be made in semicontact combat « at the touch », thus without recovery, with the same regulations at the points and technical points as the semi- Contact chain. The first who gets three points wins the fight.
